The Story of Malayalam Movie Train was based on the Mumbai train attack by the terrorist. The film narrates a story that happened in a day between 6 am to 6 pm. The movie tells the painful story of the train attack happenings and the painful and hopeless stories of the attack victims. Superstar Mammootty is acting here as Kedarnath who is one of the brilliant officers in Anti Terrorist Squad of Mumbai. The role was similar to the real life activities of the brave ATS Chief Hemanth Karkare who was unfortunately killed during the mission. The movie on the first day got a good response from the crowd. The real life based happenings and actions make this film really interesting.
