Kochi Metro Rail Project has once again got a green signal from new government of Kerala. The new ideas and discussions are going for the establishment of Kochi Metro Rail. Council of ministers under the leadership of Kerala Chief Minister Shri Umman Chandi has decided to make the project like a model of Chennai and Bangalore Metro Rail Project and the state is hoping the full support of the central government. There were early discussions to make Kochi Metro Rail project in the model of Delhi Metro Rail, but the technical side is not profitable and that itself led to the rejection of the proposal.
